Androdiol
(4-androstene-3beta,17beta-diol) is a is a naturally occurring androgen metabolite found
in beef, chicken, pork, etc. Androdiol is another supplement similar to Androstene
in that it is a direct precursor to testosterone. This obscure compound is produced
in the adrenal glands as well as the gonads. This product converts via a different
enzyme, 3 beta hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase than androstene does. It requires high
ATP levels and therefore may require large amounts of carbohydrate intake or a supplement
that maintains liver ATP levels like pyruvate (e.g. ASN Calvate) or phosphates (e.g.
TwinLab PhosFuel) to work best. Zinc is another critical mineral required for this
enzymatic process, so a lack of zinc may inhibit the conversion to testosterone.
Therefore, it is recommended that you get at least 30 mg. of zinc per day whether it is
through whole foods or supplements. The eventual conversion process for Androdiol is
supposed to be more efficient than Androstene in your body. According to
a survey, 5.61% of the Androstene converts to testosterone compared to a 15.67% conversion
rate of Androdiol. It must stand to reason that for anyone who has had success with
Androstene will have 3 times the success with Androdiol. The purported advantages of
this supplement are strength gains, increased energy, muscle development, as well as
decreased recovery times from your workouts. These are also the same advantages of
injectable testosterone.
The recommended dosage for this
new compound seems to be in the area of 200 mgs. per day in divided doses like Androstene
or Norandrostene taking one dose in the morning and one in the evening an hour or two
prior to your workouts. At this time it is recommended to use this stack for
no more than 6 weeks at a time in order to give your body at least a few weeks to adjust
back to normal testosterone production since no one knows what the long term effects of
this supplement would be on the body. This is another one of those new supplements
that have came out that I have not personally used yet but it sounds very
interesting. I thought that you might appreciate any info that could be found about
this new supplement. This could be another supplement that could have outstanding
results combined with DHEA, Androstene, tribulus terrestris, etc. I just don't
know at the moment. Let me know if you are having any success with this one.
At the time this product is only available through OSMO under the name Androdiol. It
comes in 100 mg. capsules 60 per bottle at a cost of about $40.00 per bottle. This
stuff supposedly works bigtime and is definitely worth the price.
